Build CSS text-shadow effects visually — stack multiple layers to create glows, 3D depth, long shadows and emboss effects. Edit the preview text and copy the CSS instantly.
The CSS text-shadow property accepts offset-x, offset-y, blur-radius and color — multiple shadows are stacked with commas, just like box-shadow. A zero-offset shadow with a blur radius creates a glow effect. Repeating a shadow with increasing offsets and no blur produces a 3D or long-shadow look. Unlike box-shadow, text-shadow has no inset keyword and no spread radius. It follows the shape of each character, making it ideal for neon signs, embossed labels, and editorial headlines — effects that would be impractical to achieve with images.
